Bono on Capitalism

In today’s episode I mentioned Bono’s advocacy of capitalism.

In this first clip, Bono was testifying at a Senate hearing in April of 2016 wherein he argued that foreign aid is not just charity, it’s a part of national security!

But lest we be confused, he does not believe foreign aid is the long-term solution. Only the free engines of a capitalistic society can produce long-term results to lift people out of poverty.
